VenerdìDopo tanti mesi noi appassionati di piva emiliana ci ritroviamo per il quarto Pivaraduno e stavolta ad accogliere l'allegro gruppo di musicisti è la città di Reggio Emilia. L'Ostello della Ghiara è davvero stupendo e anche gli altri ospiti sembrano incuriositi dalla nostra rumorosa presenza. Ancora non siamo in tanti e un banale incidente alla spalla purtroppo mi impedirà di partecipare suonando, ma per mettermi di buon umore mi basta sentire il suono della Piva e tutto si aggiusta. Dopo una buona cena e una rapida prova con i consueti brani del repertorio ci apprestiamo alla prima uscita verso il centro della città. Per le strade non tante gente ma quando arriviamo in centro suonando, accompagnati con lo straordinario consueto vigore dalle percussioni di Mauro, le facce delle persone che affollano la piazza del centro sono un misto di sorpresa e allegria. La nostra prima esibizione è nella piccola piazza della Frumentaria. Il pubblico è numeroso e i brani si susseguono rapidi, poi Gino inizia le danze con persone prese dal pubblico che sono accolte con entusiasmo.

The city of Reggio Emilia is the center for this annual meeting of the bagpipes. Reggio is a beautiful city in the north of Italy.This evening we are not so many yet, but we have so much desire to play our bagpipes.After a good supper and an brief consultation, arrives the time to go with our bagpipes to the center of the city. In the center of the most important plaza there are so many people and all of them are amazed and happy when they see and hear the powerful sound of the Italian bagpipes and the rhythm who Mauro plays with his great drum.A lot of people follow us while we are going to plaza of the Frumentaria for the exhibition. We play so many pieces of the traditional repertoire for bagpipe, then Gino, expert of ancient dances, shows his cleverness inviting the present public to dance.
