Bagpipes of the Emilian tradition producing an inspiring and charming music. Two musicians in full costume perform songs of the typical Christmas tradition and other local ancient and popular music in the streets and squares of the historic centre.

Pive Emiliane e Cornamusa Scozzese a Bologna

Gino Pennìca, Marco Mainini e Franco Calanca han suonato i giorni scorsi in pieno centro storico a Bologna accanto alla Loggia della Mercanzia. Giornata molto fredda ma soleggiata e pubblico incuriosito dalla musica strumentale e dai canti proposti dalla Pive Emiliane che si sono alternate con la Cornamusa di Franco. I primi con il tipico tabarro il secondo in kilt. Alle loro spalle potete vedere il teatrino dei “Burattini di Riccardo” che ha proposto maschere bolognesi e modenesi.

Pive Emiliane and Great Highland Bagpipe in Bologna

Gino Pennìca, Marco Mainini and Franco Calanca played during the past days in the Bologna historic center near the Loggia della Mercanzia. In a very cold but sunny Day, the audience was intrigued by the instrumental music and songs offered by Pive Emiliane that alternated themselves with the Bagpipes of Franco. The first played with the typical tabarro while the second played in a traditional kilt. Behind them you can see the teatrino of "Puppets of Riccardo" which proposed traditional bolognese and modenese masks.

Tiolix e Fron intervistati da TRC

Tiolix e Fron son stati nuovamente invitati ad esibirsi per le strade di Formigine e oltre alla consueta bella accoglienza da parte degli astanti sono stati intervistati da TRC. Fronn ha parlato diffusamente dello strumento e poi sono stati suonati per i telespettatori della nota tv privata Modenese sia Lillibullero che Stella Vicentina.

Wednesday the 8^th of December

Tiolix and Fron interviewed by TRC. Tiolix and Fron were invited to perform on the streets of Formigine again and in addition to the normal beautiful reception they received by the audience and bystanders, they were interviewed by TRC. Fron talked extensively about the instruments, which were then played for tv viewers of the private Modenese television station, both Lillibullero and Star Vicentina.

Non e' ancora Natale ma le Pive di Tiolix e Fron già si esibiscono a Formigine lungo i mercatini accolti con simpatia da parte dei formiginiesi e a Casinalbo. Sono stati eseguiti brani della tradizione emiliana e le consuete musiche Natalizie. La scatenata versione di Jingle Bells, racconta Marcello, è stato il brano che ha riscosso maggior successo.

Tiolix and Fron in action. It's not Christmas yet, but le Pive of Tiolix and Fron are already performing in Formigine along the street markets and are being warmly welcomed by the local formiginiesi and the town of Casinalbo. They performed songs of the Emilian tradition and the typical Christmas music carols. The version of Jingle Bells, says Marcellus, was the song which proved to be the most popular.
