Da anni sognavo di suonare questo brano ma le difficoltà tecniche dovute alle tante alterazioni, di difficile esecuzione su uno strumento come la Piva, mi avevan dissuaso dal farlo. Con l'inizio del nuovo anno ho voluto tentare questa piccola sfida e più o meno, il risultato finale è stato accettabile, non nego che suonare la melodia anche con il flauto, che ad un certo punto del filmato si vede, sia stato molto utile per far notare meno alcuni problemi d'intonazione. Spero che presto altri suonatori di piva inizino lo studio di questo bel brano in modo da poterlo suonare quando ci si incontrerà ad un prossimo raduno.

For years I dreamed of playing this song but the technical
difficulties due to the many changes that are difficult to perform on an
instrument like the bagpipes had dissuaded me from doing so. With
the start of the New Year I wanted to attempt this little challenge and more or
less, final result was acceptable. I do not deny that playing the

giorno 2 dicembre, si è entrati nel vivo del festival con il doppio
concerto di due eccellenze del catalogo dell'etichetta toscana Radici
Music, ovvero Pivenelsacco e Massimo Giuntini e La Società del
Chiassobuio. Caratterizzata da una presenza ancor più massiccia di
pubblico, la seconda serata di Pifferi, Muse e Zampogne è stata
aperta dal suono coinvolgente e fascinoso delle pive emiliane di
Pivenelsacco, che guidati da Fabio Bonvicini hanno dato vita ad un
applauditissima esibizione, nella quale il pubblico aretino ha avuto
modo di ascoltare dal vivo una selezione di brani estratti dal loro
primo disco Centorami, uscito quest'anno, che ancor più che sul
disco si sono svelati in tutta la loro bellezza e il loro fascino. Il
gruppo emiliano, grazie ad un rigoroso percorso di ricerca e di
riarrangiamento è riuscito a far sì che brani rinascimentali e
composizioni originali ispirate alle musiche da ballo vivessero in
una sorprendente armonia, il tutto senza risparmiarsi aggiungendovi
una grande dose di ironia, attraverso l'introduzione degli stessi con

On December 2nd, they entered into heart of
the festival with a double concert of two catalogs of excellence of the Tuscan
label Roots Music, or rather Pivenelsacco and Massimo Giuntini and The Society
of Chiassobuio. Characterized by one presence of even more massive
public, the second evening of Fifes, Muses and Bagpipes was open from the
engaging and charming sound of the Emilian bagpipes of Pivenelsacco, that led by
Fabio Bonvicini, gave life to an applauded performance, in which the aretino
audience was able to listen to a live selection of songs from their first album,
Centorami, released this year, and to hear even more of their beauty and their
charm that is released on that disk. The Emilian group, thanks to
a rigorous path of research and rearrangement, managed to ensure that
Renaissance songs and original compositions inspired by the dance music, live in
an amazing harmony, all without adding a large dose sparing of irony, through
the introduction of themselves with little rhymes or verses in Emilian
dialect.
